How we process personal data when you use ScrumNav from the Atlassian Marketplace.

Summary

ScrumNav is a Forge app on Jira Software Cloud. Your organisation is usually the data controller for Jira data; we process data only to run the app. We do not copy Jira data to our own servers. Atlassian hosts Forge, Jira, and Marketplace billing — Atlassian privacy policy.

Data we process

Account & profile
Atlassian account ID (stored for team roster and Scrum Poker). Display names and avatars are fetched from Jira when shown and are not stored in app storage.
App configuration
Board settings, capacity, poker deck, report preferences
Collaboration
Scrum Poker votes per issue (visible to users on the same site)
Jira content (via API)
Issues, sprints, story points, worklogs — read and updated using the signed-in user’s Jira permissions; not stored on ScrumNav-operated servers
Support email

Security & access

  • We do not sell personal data.
  • We do not use advertising trackers in the Forge app.
  • Access to Jira data is controlled by Atlassian authentication and the user’s Jira permissions. ScrumNav does not ask for Jira passwords or API tokens.
  • For personal data held directly by ScrumNav, such as support emails, you can contact us to request access, correction, or deletion.
  • For vendor security practices (incidents, vulnerabilities, controls), see our Security Policy.

Where data is stored

  • Forge app storage (Atlassian) — configuration, team roster (account IDs only), poker votes, short-lived caches of Jira metadata (not user profiles)
  • Jira Cloud — issue and sprint data remains in your site
  • Email — if you contact support

Retention & your rights

  • App storage remains while ScrumNav is installed on your Jira site (values may be overwritten during normal use)
  • Jira metadata caches are short-lived (e.g. board list ~10 minutes); user names and avatars are not cached in app storage
  • A Jira administrator can uninstall the app to stop ScrumNav from accessing your site. We do not store customer Jira or Forge app data on ScrumNav-operated servers; whether and when data in Forge storage is deleted is determined by Atlassian under Forge and Marketplace policies.
  • Site users: ask your Jira administrator for access, correction, or deletion relating to the app or your Jira account.
  • Contact us at contact@scrumnav.com for access, correction, or deletion of data held by ScrumNav.
  • You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. ScrumNav operates from Finland; our lead supervisory authority is the Office of the Data Protection Ombudsman.
